Amazon Kindle Adds Page Numbers And Social Media In Update
Have a Kindle and want to share notes with friends? Maybe you’d like to tell everyone what you thought of the book? That’s just two of the new features Amazon is rolling out in its latest firmware update for its Kindle reader. Another new feature, and one that’s long overdue say some readers, is the addition of page numbers which actually match the print version of books.
The real page numbers feature is the most exciting, even though it’s only a small change. Before this version, page numbers on the Kindle would re-flow based on the size of the text, and the pages often numbered in the thousands thanks to the smaller-than-hardback page size and the frequently larger text. That made it impossible to tell someone else what page you were reading, or where to look for something, because your page numbers only made sense on your particular device.
